The Wellness Expo is co-sponsored by Logan County Department of Public Health and ALMH Community Health Collaborative. Logan County fifth graders attend the Expo on Friday with the goal of encouraging students to learn about health in a way that allows them to play an active part in the learning process. Students receive information about cancer prevention, exercise, nutrition, dental health, disabilities, drugs/alcohol, safety, tobacco, asthma, posture, recycling, and more. As students travel through the Heart Adcenture Challenge Course, they learn how the blood travels through the heart while being physically active. The Wellness Expo is open to everyone on Saturday. Saturday's event includes demonstrations, health displays, health screenings, and more.
